B2B webshop for elobau using Shopware 6 Enterprise

The elo.store online store is all about components, systems and solutions for commercial vehicles, machine safety and level measurement. The company elobau GmbH & Co. KG had the goal to reduce the internal efforts for smaller orders and customers. As an e-commerce partner, we worked closely with elobau to create a new B2B online store using Shopware 6 Enterprise.

The majority of elobau’s customer orders are currently submitted and processed using traditional methods. This approach, particularly with small customers and orders, often results in high internal fixed costs, making it difficult to cover expenses. Following intensive consultation, elobau decided to implement Shopware 6 in the Enterprise Edition, aiming to reduce internal costs and leverage the latest technology to position the company well for the future. .

Together with elobau, we utilized an agile project approach to establish a solid foundation for the company’s online business. This framework allows for the shop to be dynamically expanded with new features and ensures readiness for future internationalization. The Shopware B2B Suite, included in the Shopware 6 Enterprise Edition, provides numerous advantages, complemented by our custom adjustments. The entire product portfolio, including all variations, was imported into the shop as a CSV file. A notable feature of the shop is its ability to compare the technical data of all product variations in a custom table.

• Import of all products, including variations, individual and scaled prices
• certain “hidden” products can only be ordered using the exact article numbers

Comparison of technical data

• all variations of a main product can be compared in a technical data table
• the – sometimes small – differences between variations are divided into four categories (electrical data, mechanical data, material information and environmental conditions)
• To be more user-friendly, categories and individual variations can be hidden from view
• Items can be added to the shopping cart directly from the comparison table

As an e-commerce partner, we worked with our client and an external designer to implement the design, continuously refining it throughout the project using an agile SCRUM process.

As a technical service provider, we implemented a modern, high-performance and user-friendly B2B shop using agile working methods. We are fully satisfied with the result.
